Hostaway Accounting Connection to ReInvestWealth: User Guide

Effortlessly streamline your financial management with this step-by-step guide to integrating your Hostaway accounting with ReInvestWealth. Designed for short-term rental hosts and property managers, ReInvestWealth leverages cutting-edge AI technology to automate your bookkeeping, making it easier than ever to track income, expenses, and receipts.


Step 1: Create your ReInvestWealth Account

To begin, you’ll need to set up your ReInvestWealth account. This step takes just a few minutes.

  1. Visit the ReInvestWealth signup page and click Register.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your business profile.



Step 2: Connect Your Business Bank Accounts

For the most beneficial bookkeeping, ensure your dedicated business bank accounts used for managing your properties are connected to ReInvestWealth.

  1. In your ReInvestWealth profile, go to Bank Accounts.

  2. Click on the Connect a New Bank button.

  3. Select your bank from the list or use the search bar to find it.

  4. For the most accurate results, select all your business accounts, including savings accounts, credit cards, lines of credits etc.

  5. ReInvestWealth will import your bank transactions for automatic categorization.

Step 3: Connect Your Stripe Account

Hostaway processes payments through Stripe, and ReInvestWealth supports direct integration with Stripe to sync your financial data.

  1. In your ReInvestWealth account, navigate to Invoicing.

  2. Click on the Connect with Stripe button.

  3. Sign in using the same Stripe credentials you use with Hostaway.

  4. Once completed, ReInvestWealth will import your Hostaway invoices and payments.

Step 4: Upload Your Receipts

  1. Keep track of your expenses by uploading receipts into ReInvestWealth.

  2. From the Dashboard or the Smart Shoebox, click on the Upload Receipt button.

  3. Take pictures directly using our mobile app or drag and drop receipts from your laptop.

  4. ReInvestWealth will automatically analyze and match the receipt details with your bank transactions.

What Happens Next?

Once your Stripe account, business bank accounts, and receipts are connected:

  • ReInvestWealth will automatically categorize income from Hostaway rentals.

  • Expenses, such as maintenance and property management fees, will be recorded and matched to receipts.

  • Financial reports like Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and General Ledger will be generated automatically.

  • Sales tax returns can be e-filed directly from ReInvestWealth (Canada Only. Currently supporting GST, HST, QST)


You can focus on growing your rental business while ReInvestWealth handles your bookkeeping.
